Universal Motown Artist Kicks Off Summer Edition of R&B Live DC

Washington, DC (June 11, 2009) – It’s officially summer and R&B Live DC has an incredible series lined up for those steamy months! Live music, great people, great food and drinks. What more could you ask for? This month will continue to be a jam packed event with an energy and groove that cannot be found anywhere else in Washington, DC every third Tuesday of each month. On Tuesday, June 16th R&B Live DC is proud to announce that Universal Motown recording artist Hal Linton will be at Posh Restaurant & Supper Lounge. Hal is from the Caribbean island Barbados and was born into a family full of musicians. In 2007 he won four awards at the Barbados Music Awards for his song “Cardiac Arrest”, which included the Song of the Year. In 2008 he relocated to New York City and that is where he met Sylvia Rhone and she signed him to Universal Motown. He is currently working on his debut album “Return of the Future”. R&B Live DC will be hosted by WKYS personality Antonio “The Cuban Cigar Smoker” and DJ Huck Fin will be spinning. The opening act for this month’s R&B Live DC will be a homegrown act. She goes by the name of Paula Campbell and is from Baltimore, MD. A few years back when Paula independently released her first single “How Does It Feel”, it lead to her release of her first album “Who Got Next” and she opened up to the likes of, David Banner and Fabolous. She is currently working on her next album titled “I Am Paula Campbell”.
